Notwithstanding all the chatter about Fay Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin opting out of the International Soca Monarch, there is a lot of buzz about soca legend, Austin “Super Blue” Lyons. Young and old are eagerly dancing to his tunes, even ones from way back in the day when he was called Blue Boy. The photo above where Blue, as he is sometimes affectionately called, takes off his shoes and gets down to it, signifies what people are longing and hoping for – that and, perhaps him getting up on speaker boxes or climbing scaffolding in the competition again. Doubt it will happen, but if the hype is an indication, Blue’s performance should be sweet.
