And we’re back. I know I’ve been away for sometime folks. I have been actively shooting but just not blogging and I’m sorry. I suppose I forgot that this wasn’t just meaningful for me – that many of you follow and look forward to the photos on this blog and I am thankful. I’ve heard from several people who said they missed the posts. I appreciate your following and support always.

The most active day (ever) on the blog was Ash Wednesday 2013, with over 700 hits. February, no surprise, was the busiest month with ten times as many visits to the blog and there were slightly fewer visits for 2013 than 2012, which is remarkable considering in there were 60 posts in 2013 and 116 posts in 2012.

For this year’s Blogging de Carnaval series we hope to focus on small movements with big meaning. I also hope that in the world of social media you’ll connect and interact with me via the comments, on Facebook, twitter using the hash tags #BdC2014 #Bloggindecarnaval #studiolafoncette and on Instagram. The carnival vibe is in the air. Preparation, fete, festival, the color, the release, the stress, the drama and the joy of it all is so close you can touch it. I am really looking forward to our feast and I hope you do too.

Enjoy

L

  1. Glad you’re back. I’ve learned so much from you about the connection between African and the Caribbean.
